Si è diplomato al Conservatorio "G.B.Martini" di Bologna, città nella quale ha portato a termine gli studi classici. Vincitore e primo oboe presso le più importanti Orchestre Sinfoniche e da Camera attualmente è Primo Oboe dell'Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Affianca all'attività orchestrale una intensa attività concertistica in tutto il mondo. Suona in Duo Pianoforte-Oboe con la pianista Felicia Gregorio. E' docente di Oboe presso le principali Accademie Nazionali.

ALBERTO NEGRONI was born in Bologna and  got his diploma there, studied with Gino Siviero. Further studies were with Harold Gomberg and Lothar Koch. He also studied chamber music with Milan Turkovic. He began his orchestral career when he was still very young playing Principal Oboe in the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and in the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese. In 1985, chosen by Riccardo Muti, he became Principal Oboe at the Scala and in the Scala Philharmonic. Many conductors have recognised the quality of his playing including, among others, Carlo Maria Giulini,Carlo Abbado, George Solti, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa, Gary Bertini, Giuseppe Sinopoli. In 1996 he left the Scala and won the post of  Principal Oboe in the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorfentino. Zubin Mehta was his mentor and great admirer of his playing. He has performed as a soloist in the most famous concert halls: Royal Albert Hall, The Scala, Carnegie Hall.  In 2008, invited by Mehta himself  he went on tour with the Israeli Philharmonic. He still continues playing with both the Scala orchestra and the Scala Philharmonic. He has recorded for Sony, EMI and Philips.
